Llandudno to Conwy

This ride has one of the finest backdrops to any in the whole of the country - to the north, Great Ormes Head rises to 679ft and its cliff ledges are nesting places for many species of seabirds, to the southwest across Conwy Bay the mighty peaks of Snowdonia seem to rise straight out of the water and as you approach Conwy the foreground is filled with the town’s marina and Edward I’s magnificent castle nestling right at the base of the dramatic hills.

Conwy is one of the best-preserved medieval fortified towns in Britain with battlemented walls and narrow gateways. There are over 200 listed buildings in the town dating from the 14th to the 19th centuries.

NB South from the car park near the start in Llandudno there are several short sections where sand may have blown across the path from the adjacent sand dunes. In some cases the going is very soft and you will need to dismount and push your bike. None of these sections are long and the path soon improves. Take your time and enjoy the views!
