The people of wal mart website was founded by two brothers and a friend after an encounter in one of the shops. They saw a lady wearing a shirt which had obscenities on it while she also had a child walking alongside her. They turned to the next corner and spotted a very fat lady wearing skinny pants. Inspired by this incident, the three close friends who regularly shop at wal mart went back home and decided to create the people of wal mart website. In addition, they requested people to submit any photos of similar events at the supermarket chain. They did not think that anyone would bother sending photos, but this was not the case.
